Pizza is one great big crouton. Crouton, like you put on a salad. Salads are healthy, so croutons must be healthy. If pizza is a big crouton, it must be really healthy!
I read that in post-World War II Britain, pizza (or something vaguely like it) was called “Italian rarebit.” Apparently they, too, figured it was just glorified cheese on toast.
