Drawing a blank this morning. Can’t think of a single humorous or insightful thing to write. How does Jimmy do it day after day?

This strip probably relates to Arlo’s penchant for being flip. Another strip relating to the general theme of cleaning out old things that are no longer relevant. Wine cork collecting was the bombs 30 years ago.

Arlo, get Janis one of those rechargeable leaf blowers for Christmas! There’s no engine so she can use it indoors! Her dusting chores will be done five times quicker! She’ll love you for it! – Tim Taylor

Try throwing a hand full of real corks on the charcoal the next time you grill. The oak and wine should make a good tasting smoke for cooking.

Put a cork in it, Janis! Those are souvenirs of some great adventures!

If they buy cheap wine with screw on tops, how did they collect so many corks?

People with more money than they know what to do with will pay over $100 for some fancy container to throw corks in. Apparently hoarding is OK if you call it a collection and spend money on it. I made a bulletin board once from corks. You could use them as connectors for toothpick constructions. You could mulch your grapevines. Make a New Years Eve door wreath or a curtain for the doorway to your home bar. Coasters. Lampshades. Poker chips. Mobiles. That said, I have never gone beyond the bulletin board, but have bags of used corks in case I need one. I’m a homebrewer and winemaker so they didn’t cost me much, about 13 cents each at current prices.

Hey gocomics how about stopping the Amazon gift card pop ups. I can’t even read 2 strips without getting hikacked by the pop ups that take over the screen. Happened 5 times so far today. I’ll find a different comics site!

Looks to me like Arlo and Janis have put away an awful lot of wine in their years.
