Nate has such a morbid fascination with drawing comics to deprecate Mrs. Godfrey—in his notebook, the vast majority of the comics are about Mrs. Godfrey. Of course, this is the only way he can partially get ”revenge” on Mrs. Godfrey for shouting at him and giving him detention so many times. It may even feel satisfying for him.
I personally don’t dislike Mrs.Godfrey as much as some other people do. I think her anger is usually pretty warranted, especially when it comes to Nate, and there are times when she is genuinely a nice and understanding person. It’s also pretty hard to take Nate’s side sometimes. What do you guys think? Do you guys like Mrs.Godfrey, or do you think she’s too mean to Nate?
