It doesn’t say he walked on feet before he was told to go on his belly. Maybe he walked on his hands or wriggled along on his back – The possibilities are endless!
So because the snake still has legs, Hart’s implication here was that these guys live in a world that pre-dates the Genesis myth? I wondered how that fit in with his Christian beliefs, then I looked him up and learned that the “distinguishable shift in Hart’s spirituality” (Wikipedia) didn’t begin until 1984.
