    If it was really important (like to the sales department) they’d answer Johnny-On-The-Spot instead of this interminable hold (like to customer support).

    only 15 minutes? that is really nothing.

    I have been kept waiting over a half hour multiple times with the assurance that my call is important. Such BS…..

    Thanks to the internet and phone “trees,” companies have successfully isolated themselves from their customers. “We have determined that these 12 things are the only possible things that can be wrong with your product or service – please pick one. If you are experiencing any other kind of difficulty, please hang up.”

    I love my internet provider. I don’t have connectivity so I call and the robot tells me that I can troubleshoot my issue on line.

    I have to admit that my provider, AT&T does answer the phone and if you have a routine issue, can often be useful. If you have something that is not on their checklist, you have to tell them what they need to do to fix your system. They are trained well in customer care, but have a poor system for escalating technical issues. They have no system for escalating technical issues.

    The other surprise is Microsoft. I rent my office suite from them. You can schedule an appointment with them on line and they often call back within the minute. They will even log onto your computer to fix the issue. That alone is worth the cost of subscription!

    before I decided to do something useful with my life, I was a customer service rep for the evil insurance company. There were 50 of us, taking a hundred calls a day – or more – and the Call Waiting lights never stopped flashing. Please don’t fuss with them; they are not sitting around polishing their nails.

    It’s really starting to get to me; I’m going to have to give up “the News” for a while! My first reaction to the strip wasn’t “Ha, ha! She’s really gullible!” it was “Ha, ha! She must be a Trumpian!” His stupidity and MY REACTION to his stupidity is poisoning my world! Since I can’t do anything about Donnie, I must adjust my own world!
