I actually worked with a guy who would always fall asleep at his desk after eating lunch. He would pile papers on his desk, hold a pencil in his hand, bend over, close his eyes and sleep.
Every one knew what was going on, even the boss, but since he was an expert in his field they could not fire him, so they just did not disturb him for the first hour after lunch.
When I worked as a bellman the front desk would always have some task for you to do. When you are doing stuff for them you aren’t making tips. We used the walk quickly by the front desk as if on a mission technique all the time.
