Is Tom a new character or one from the old days of the strip? He looks familiar, but he might just have one of those faces.

Well, there was a very early Sunday by King that showed Walt chasing a live turkey through the neighborhood, only to be stopped by baby Skeezix’s crying when Walt was about to chop its head off. Maybe this one’s the first one’s great-grandson!

brings to mind the episode of WKRP in Cincinnati when the station manager thought turkeys could fly and dropped them from helicopters as a publicity stunt, “newsman” Les Nessman gave the play by play…very very funny

Thanks for reminding me of that one, Roohey. n_n

As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

Becoming Thanksgiving dinner is not in the cards. That turkey has too much personality.

Roohey: Yes, thank you for reminding me of that classic episode!

Even though Rufus may be the instigator in keeping the Turkey alive… I tend to think that push-comes-to-shove, Joel wouldn’t want to be responsible for THAT PARTICULAR bird’s demise either, in the end. Joel is a softy at heart and is also the brains of the duo.
