Joe: Uh... Kate? Why is Danae out there still wearing her Halloween costume? Kate: She says it's not a costume anymore. Joe: OK, I know I'm going to regret asking, but... what does she say it is now? Kate: "The Sacred Robe of Holy Superiority?" Joe: OH, of course...

I will not convert to Danaeism. Bring on your “list,” little inquisitor! Nobody fears the Danaeist Inquistion! Do they?
SCOTTtheBADGER about 14 years ago
Since she is selling indulgences, will a small Martin Luther show up?

LLeRay, I was just about to say that!
But she has to actually make money to worry about tax exempt status. I suspect her evangelism efforts need some tweaking.

Look at her look in the last panel! Just love that face!!!
will4life about 14 years ago
Does that mean that WE are on the list??!!
ububobu about 14 years ago
jmattadams: I’ve said before that slanderous rhetoric defines liberals. I guess we can add mindless clichés and reactionary politics to the list.
momazilla about 14 years ago
Her idea of “religion” is no crazier than some others I’ve seen

I was really disappointed when I heard the whole Chris O’Donnell-witch business.
Witchcraft was the only thing the Republicans hadn’t accused Hilary Clinton of doing; I thought they were saving it in case she ran for president again.
But if they used it now, they only be accusing her of acting like a Republican.
@ UBUBOBU - if you find this strip so offensive, WHY DO YOU KEEP READING IT?
Can't Sleep about 14 years ago
Incidently, I have a relative who is a real witch (WICCAN, actually).
When I attended her wedding some years ago, there was a delay before the ceremony could begin, so we all sang, “Give Me That Old Time Religion.”
Dry and Dusty Premium Member about 14 years ago
NightShade09 I’ll bet that went over like a “lead balloon!” LOL! I love that response, but I’ll bet the bride didn’t!
Can't Sleep about 14 years ago
@Dry - Actually, the bride (my cousin) and groom were among those singing. (Yes, it really happened.)
I was told the roots of the Wiccans’ religion goes back about 3,000 years, so it’s a REALLY OLD time religion.
It was the best wedding I’ve ever attended (certainly the most fun!).

Wow…and here I was thinking this was just freakin funny

I must say out of all the comments above “liberal rhetoric - no - it’s conservative rhetoric” the only new thing is the miss-spelling of the main character DANAE (like the ancient Greek princess impregnated by Zeus in the guise of a golden shower). Not sure who this Danea character is that 4 of you refer to but sounds like a dairy free sandwich spread.
Q/ Oh, and what do you say to an angry Witch? A/ Ribbit.

Is Charlie Brown gonna come by and put a nickel in the bucket?
ChazNCenTex about 14 years ago
Danea is the goddess of dyslexia. Obviuosly.
weasel_monkey about 14 years ago
@chasm_b: I assume your post is “obviously” meant to be ironic. ;-)
ChazNCenTex about 14 years ago
Too many readers of this comic, not to mention the public at large, have a severe irony deficiency.
