    If he pick the block, nothing will happen to him. The block has a dent that prevent the ax to touch his neck….

    It seems the strip has been exploring the boundary of black humor. The one with burning at the stake was too far (partly because of lack of humor) while this one is just a bit close to the edge with enough humor to carry it.

    Take the noose. There are cases where someone was hung and survived. Can’t find any cases of beheading that survived. Although there is that one woman running around who’s obviously missing her head…
