Ten Cats by Graham Harrop for November 23, 2017

Nope. Still stinky.

Yay, my wife made blackberry pie, in addition to pumpkin, after all. She must have responded to my whimpering. I tasted the dressing and was about to curl up in a corner with it till Friday. Mmm-mm. Turkey is in the brine. Just a few things to finish off!

I’m pretty sure those cigars were stolen, maybe they should hightail it down the block and out of sight. Those bad kitties… Everyone have a safe holiday today, and remember NO politics around the dinner table!

Desserts for our dinner tonight include: two pecan pies and one minced meat pie (my contribution), apple cake, pumpkin pie, and no-bake cookies. Minced meat pie filling is sold in supermarkets. It is mostly apples and raisins now. My grandmother, who was born in 1900 used to claim that it used to have squirrel meat in it “back in the day”. Wish I could have some of that blackberry pie!

I’ll start by wishing all of our American cousins ‘Happy Thanksgiving!’ I’m not American, but my brother and his family live in California.

 

Unfortunately for me the 23rd of November is the anniversary of the sudden loss of Lone Ranger to liver failure (4 years ago). You’ll understand why I don’t look forward to this day, I’ll leave you with a photo of Lone Ranger being Lone Ranger.
