I’m be hanging out, lurching about and playing dead at the Long Beach Comic Con this Friday through Halloween. And, yes, I’ll be giving out treats on Halloween. I’ll be in Artist Alley at table #1503 if you want to drop (dead) by:
Mr. Lustig at this comic fest you and other participate in what are the hours required?
My brother-in-law and sister have taken our his parents small business a food time business they try to take in different craft shows unless too high. From past examples if public doesn’t attend not worth their time.
Kab, the hours and attendance vary from convention to convention. The largest is Comic Con International (in San Diego in July each year.) Attendance is 125,000–plus professionals, convention staff. So maybe 135,000 in all. That’s a 4 and a half day affair.
The 3 day New York Comic Con was reportedly 95,000 people this year.
The convention I’m attending this weekend–the Long Beach Comic Con–runs three days and is a much smaller convention.
Friday: 1:00-8:00 PM
Saturday 10.30 - 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday 10.31 - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Attendance last year (it’s first year) was about 6,000. It’ll probably be higher this year. In this case, the main reason I’m going down is that my daughter lives in the area and I’m going to be staying with her.
The remaining two conventions I’m doing this year are smaller (Bellingham, WA and Portland, OR, but they’re both within a few hours driving distance. So no big expense or effort to attend.
John, I work just down the street, but I must be out of town while you are here. Make sure that you get some inspiration at the local Hooters just about a long block South on Shoreline Drive. There are so many great restaurants at the Pike and Pine Ave Pier area. Enjoy yourself in beautiful Long Beach.

Well, considering he may not have any brains in the first place. He may get to go all the way if she doesn’t get too hungry.

What the heck. With my luck necrophilia just might be the answer to my lack of a love life.

John, you told me once, but when will you be in Bellingham?
John Lustig (Last Kiss) creator about 14 years ago
Cleo, the Bellingham Comicon is Saturday, Nov. 6. Hope we can meet up.
Eldo and Doug, thanks for the Long Beach advice. Sorry I won’t see you, Doug.
I’m staying with my daughter and son-in-law in Irvine, but I’m going to be spending lots of time in Long Beach this weekend!

The typical “boy meets ghoul” story.
