    Now that cartoonists have other things to do after they finish at 10am, I wonder if we’ll see golf comics drop off in favour of PUBG comics?

    Nah, golfers back then were heavily into abstract art. After all, this era was when Dali, Picasso et al were most popular. ;D

    I started wondering when steel-shafted clubs came into play. The USGA legalized them in 1924. Billy Burke was the first to win a tournament with them: the 1931 U.S. Open. Wooden shafts (hickory) were predominant prior to 1935.
