Stereotypes have basis in reality. In 2000 some relatives came over from Ireland and boy could they drink ! I was told by an aunt who they all stayed with that even their mom and their aunt could put some down. Cousin Peter, who spent a night out drinking with the two “boys” (middle aged men) attested to their ability to keep on going while the 3 U.S. counterparts were flagging.
All this “snowflake-ism” is making me question my Democratic leaning Independent status; not because I believe in the hard right but because I feel I am no longer believing in you.
Since the Civil war Confederate “hero” monuments have been taken down we can now successfully erase the awful history and next a consensus that the Holocaust never happened. It will be a relief to know that all those “inferior to Nazi race” people didn’t suffer to the extent painted by history. (Big Snark mode off)

We don’t have monuments to George III or Adolf Hitler. We don’t need monuments to remind us that the Civil War happened, or even that, after the war, some people felt that Confederate generals deserved statues.
