That was the 4k resolution of the time back then….

I remember those. You hooked it up to the screen, and it made the picture bigger.

I’ve often cautioned that a common death bed regret will be: Why, oh why didn’t i eat more rotisserie chicken?

At best I’ve been mocked and I expect more of the same.

Though, based on limited anecdotal data, (I interviewed two hospice workers. Both told me to go away) I feel society will eventually have to put aside it’s jealousy and admit I’m right.

It could be an evolved survival mechanism or a cultural imperative, i.e., chicken – get to the other side, kind of thing.

At a famous online store a famous brand of jelly beans costs $20.40 for three pounds. 400 beans per pound. 1 Penny will buy .588 beans today.

Four beans is too many.

If you think it was a sad sight then, think about how sad it is today!

Where DOES she come up with these solutions to everything?

Television magnifier — I didn’t know that was a “thing” . . . and evidently still is a “thing.”

1- NANCY: I’m taking the TV screen magnifier Fritz. FRITZ: Whatever. Don’t bother me.

2- NANCY: I gotta an idea…

3- …by placing this in front of these colorful jelly beans, I can test the appeal of color television! Hmmmm. I find that while the colors add an interesting dimension, the story as a whole is uninteresting with no plot or discernible action. Therefore, I predict color TV, if invented, will never catch on. Tomorrow I’ll test a self-driving car by starting Fritz’ car down the road and jumping out. Stay tuned for results.

They really had those things? Reminds me of the computer screens on Gattaca!

Magnifiers and color screens were two different things. The color screen (specify screen size) was plastic shaded blue at the top, red in the middle, green at the bottom. Worked well on outdoor scenes, blue sky and green grass, but made no sense on indoor scenes. Glad when NTSC (Never Twice Same Color) came along.

TV magnifier. Bet they distorted things a lot.

Really great to see an old magnifier. Back in the day, people bent over backwards to get a bigger picture. Now that 50 inch screen TVs exist, many people think they have it made if they can watch TV on the tiny screens on the cell phones which they can carry in a purse or in their pockets! No accounting for what people will believe is a great advancement!

Never liked those jelly beans. They were just awful. But, hey, it’s Nancy. She’ll eat anything.
