Nancy goes to a lot of effort to pull off a prank. And where’d Sluggo get ice cream in the winter? The custard shops around my town close at the end of summer. I simply cannot buy into the premise of this strip! I demand a touch of reality in my comics! Back to Rex Morgan for me. A doctor who lives a modest life, sometimes has financial trouble and often gets deeply involved in his patients’ personal life. Now that’s the real deal.
Ice cream’s better in the winter, especially where cones are concerned. They don’t melt all over my fingers, the sugar warms my blood, and enjoying something cold and sweet takes the sting out of the cold outside.
I could walk into the village and choose between custard, yogurt, soft serve, and ice cream. Sadly, the Ben & Jerry’s went away, but the dairy by the canal is every bit as good, and it’s made right there. It’s also a bakery, but that’s easier for me to resist.
Maybe by the end of the year I’ll be able to justify a chocolate shake with a double espresso shot in it to myself. It’s as good as the mocha espresso shakes at Avogadro’s Number (which, last time I went, were no longer served in a glass glass, alas).

It’s all fun and games until she tries to eat it and learns WHY you watch out where the huskies go…

Bushmiller’s Nancy certainly lived in an age of megaphones.

I’d rather stick with Sluggo on this. He has ice cream, she has ice.
