I don’t know who’s more surprised, Nancy or the dog!

Gilchrist was known for doing that also at times.

reminds me of a pair of Looney Toons cartoons (one with Daffy Duck and one with Bugs Bunny) where they were tormented by a mysterious hand who kept redrawing either them or their backgrounds…

So this is when Nancy started going to the dogs.

Whoa, that’s weird in several dimensions. Nancy looking at an April 1 calendar page and saying “This year I’ll be on guard?” But she didn’t reckon on God; i.e., the cartoonist’s omnipotence!

I remember a Nancy comic on April 1st 1967 where Sluggo and his dog were the victims.
