Clearly Ernie didn’t know anything about physics. Compare the energy of the ball going into the pipe with the energy of it coming out. I’ll only go so far suspending my disbelief when it comes to comics and this crosses the line! I don’t watch Road Runner cartoons for the same reason!

Someone gives Sluggo the elbow! It nearly knocks his hat off!
I love the strips that show Sluggo’s hat airborne.
On Monday morning, Sluggo will have his hardball and a three-star black eye that he gave to himself to show to the class.
In Bushmiller strips, ★★★ usually signifies pain + consciousness and I think ★★★★★ is a knockout .
The workman’s shirt looks itchy to me and he’s wearing one of Sluggo’s hats!
