Aunt Fritzi: Look, Nancy--One of those freak showers. It's raining across the street, but not on this side. Where are you going?
Nancy: I've been saving this for a rainy day.
Nancy’s house has a rubble stone foundation today. So Barney must’ve built it. With Fred’s help. (Now do you get it? Whadaya mean – not worth the trouble? Ok. You’re right. But now you got the Flintstones theme song stuck in your head – SO THERE!)
Back when I was stationed in Panama, I was on a hill taking nails out of boards. A thunderstorm came by and started raining about 6 feet away from me. It was pouring so hard, I could feel the splash. But it never got any closer and eventually moved away.

Aged maybe eight, a sunny day in May, playing in my uncle’s back yard while Mom and Dad are chatting with him on his front porch.
A heavy rain springs up, of a sudden, out of nowhere. I run in the back door, down the long center hallway, out onto the porch.
Mom, sitting with Dad on the porch swing, asks, “Why are you all wet?”
I look out on a dry front yard. Then I turn around and look the length of the hallway to see heavy splashing on the back porch.
“What are you looking at?”
I decide it’s beyond words, so I just point.jagedlo over 4 years ago
Back before they had the plug on the bottom so that you don’t have to destroy the piggy bank…

We used a table knife to slide into the slot. A coin would be caught beside it and slide out with it.
