Don’t be down, Garry. Look at all the fun Dizzy is having. He’s your best friend, you know.
Yeah, I was thinking, too, that Garry should just be glad Dizzy’s having a good time….
But the downside is… well, there are two things…..
One, Dizzy promised to clean up his mess…
but “clean” to a dog leaves a lot to be desired to a human.
And, two, Garry buys wrapped paper straws, which have become rather pricey.
He’s now spending more on those than on dog food…
a whole package a night!
Both his problems could be partially alleviated by going to the dollar store, and buying a bag of 200 unwrapped plastic straws for $1.
They’re way cheaper, there’s no damp paper wrapper mess…
and the plastic ones are easier to pick up.
But I think what Dizzy really enjoys is those wrappers…. so maybe it wouldn’t work.
BTW a little bird told me this strip originally ran on Dec 10th 2007…
(Thanks, little bird).
That means some of us will be commenting on it again, in 6 days, on the Cleo and Company forum.
When I’m there, I guess I’ll have to look back. to today. to see what “Future Me" said …um… right now.
Sorta like the Moody Blues put it….
Days of future passed.
Dizzy’s deliberate disregard of dinnertime decorum, is the last straw for Garry !
What bothers me is that constant sucking sound to get the last drop
Notice how the straw wrappers are so tight today that you can’t blow them off?
dizz is just practicing for those darned birday candles.
Just another straw dog…
My brother and I, we’re both in our seventies, went out for lunch the other day. I shot a paper straw cover at him for old times sake.
“I suppose it wouldn’t be much use to conduct a straw poll”, thinks Garry…
It’s really Gary’s fault for not declaring it the last straw.
He’s sorry? Heck the whole neighborhood is sorry!

(isn’t this a re-run?)
I’m wondering if he got any to stick to the ceiling.
