I am in front of a hot flaming wood stove with a glass door and have a cat sleeping on my lap. I wake up when the cat tells me the fire is going out. I add wood and go to bed with my wife.
Hubby does that. I just leave him in his chair. He will wake on his own, eventually. He’s too deaf to hear me unless his hearing aids are in and turned up. And, I learned a long time ago, you never lay a hand on him (a combat veteran) when he is asleep.

I don’t always do it but I have been known to take a pre-bedtime nap.
