I’m always impressed with how many shows and movies one can find the supporting actors in. If one wanted to collect every show and movie that Edgar Buchanan was in it would be a big collection. Then there is William Schallert. He just passed this year at 98, IIRC. Many will remember him as Patty Duke’s father on her eponymously titled show but he was also Nilz Baris on Star Trek for the tribbles episode. I was surprised to see him in some of those ’50s Westerns showing up on the digital channels. I guess they were lucky in that they regularly had work in Hollywood.

sorry, never watched any of that television my parents and older cousins used to watch… “Andy Griffith” is one I did watch for example

Jack Elam did a show on “Home Improvement” along with Ernest Borgnine if that’s recent enough. They played retired auto workers.
