Dad actually enjoyed that.

When I read this strip as a kid, I couldn’t tell that was a woopie cushion.

I love mom in the last panel. The gesture says so much.

Under more neutral circumstances, I as Uncle Max would have enjoyed the gag too. After all, I have given whoopee cushions to nephews when they were young. But after the luggage ransacking of the night before, I might not be in such a good mood.

In all my years of life I’ve never actually seen a whoopie cushion, not even in a store.

Uncle Max may cut his visit short.

I love how Calvin’s dad is just staring at that last panel and it’s only the mom who looks embarrassed.

And the whoopee cushion was hidden beneath what on those bare-@ssed wooden seats? :-D

I have a great nephew that has hit the age of fascination with poop, burps etc much to the disgust of his mother (my niece). She is wanting him to start playing board game and so on (good old candy land, hungry hippos and the like). So keeping that in mind, for Christmas my wife and I gave him a game called Poophead. We got a picture of a mean face from his mother. I’d say it was a success.

Actually it’s very flattering for an uncle when a nephew doesn’t feel he has to be on best behaviour.
