As I recall after everyone alive and dead gets a new immortal body, if you are not in the Book of Life you shall be thrown or tossed into the Lake of Fire. So the verdict is that being wealthy won’t get you into the Saintly Suite.

The first shall be last and the last shall be first.

There is nothing wrong with being rich. The problem comes about when you stop owning things and they start owning you.

Are powerful people really free to do what they want, or are the slaves to power? As the Eagles put it in Hotel California, “We are all just prisoners here of our own device.”

I have it on excellent assurance that I am ineligible for heaven since I asked a couple of questions in religion class many, many years ago: 1) Who told the pope he was infallible? and 2) If there are 3 people in God (father, son, and holy ghost), is he schizophrenic?

If only. Religion is true to the simple, false to the wise, and useful to the powerful.

The True glass ceiling “Acts 4:11-12 (ESV) This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.””

Whether we are Atheist, Christian, Jew, Hindi, Moslem or even of a Native American religion, if we don’t accept that we are ALL here together no matter how we believe, we are on the wrong side of the glass.

As for myself, if we came from God, we are part of God. We will be going back to God eventually. Otherwise God will be incomplete.

This is why we need to treat each other kindly even in disagreement and explains when we do things for the least of others, we do those things for God.

“Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but—more frequently than not—struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God.”—Martin Luther, Table Talks in 1569.

As long as this is a religion day, consider that truth may be deeper than (scientific) fact. Statement of scientific fact: “Your eyes are blue.”Possible statement of deeper truth: “Your eyes are limped pools of azure.” Scriptures struggle to engage (however lamely) with the deepest truths. Many prefer to not only engage, but be engaged, on the deeper levels.
