This reminds me of a kid from Owensboro, Kentucky, in my freshman Spanish class. His efforts to pronounce Spanish had to be heard to be believed, not that my accent was anything to be admired.

He was an exchange student staying with a family in Georgia where he learned to love basketball. No wait…he went to a basketball camp in Alabama every summer. No, I’ve got it…his basketball coach back home is a guy from Florida, and that’s where he learned his English. I will gloat if any of these guesses is right, ignoring the fact that the other two were wrong.
