There are too many problems out there waiting for adoption. Most of them too big to be solved by one person alone (but I do my share), some of them too small to matter (and of no influence to anything besides being a nuisance to somebody despite its tininess). The latter tend to grow and spread if given too much attention, the former if not given enough.
