I guess her inner canine esp hasn’t developed enough yet. Can’t sense when her owner is rounding the corner up the street. (Our cat used to be able to do this.)
Because of the hill behind us, we can hear the folks on either side of us pull into their driveways. So can the dog. He barks like mad, and there’s nobody out there.

Our 14 yr old has a major hearing loss and can’t hear the cars anymore :-(

At 13 i doubt that my girl bounces off the furniture, but she does meet me at the door when i come home.
