Imagine asking a German if they know the name of some animated movie about some robotic rag doll (“9”). Oh, never mind.

Tony’s question, if one is to believe his Twitter feed….

is the same as yesterday’s…. (pretty much ignoring today’s strip)….

“Do you wish you were a kid?”

But since I didn’t get a chance to answer yesterday…

    No.

Meanwhile…. Tony Rubino is an artist, and an art director…

He said in a GoComics interview a few years ago that he’s always wanted to be a cartoonist, and in fact has been a cartoonist….

Yet on Daddy’s Home, Tony is the writer and Gary Markstein draws the strip.

The artwork looks different sometimes, or jokes are re-used with the strip redrawn in a different style….

so I’ve always kinda wondered if sometimes Tony actually draws it too.

Well today on Twitter, Tony posted this drawing, with the caption,

“Sketch I sent to Gary for this gag.”

So now I’m thinking… hmmm… maybe Gary does draw all the strips.

BTW… you can still read that interview by clicking “Meet Your Creator” below.

(It does sound a bit ominous but… phew…. it’s only about Tony)

    (And why not Gary?)

And have we ever seen the strip suggested in Tony’s sketch?

No, Tony, I wouldn’t want to be a kid again.
