With the giant TVs now, I almost never go to the movies but wait until the DVD comes out…and get it from the library. Love FREE movies. I don’t mind the wait. I can even pause the movie while I run to the bathroom. Can’t do that in the theater.
I’m with you. I go to Netflix an get it on DVD. Much more comfortable in my house on the wide screen. I can pause, playback, re-watch as well. Popcorn is cheaper too.
Not just movie theatres but anywhere people gather to hear something, others should keep their yaps shut and not make any unnecessary noises like purses and bags being opened and rummaged through, crinkling from candies and stuff like that. And yes they do have to be told not to talk and make noise since no one seems to have the sense to do it without being told.

Once when I went to the movies, I obeyed all the rules. Then a lady complained that she can’t hear the movie over my munching on popcorn.

Why bother, they seem to be the only people there.

Don’t understand why people have to have something to eat during a movie. They’re only a couple hours long, you won’t starve to death.

This is why I no longer go to the movies.

Last time I went to a theater to see a movie was 2009, Avatar. Haven’t been back since. Same reasons all of the above mention. Don’t miss it at all.

Who’s complaining? The theater is always empty when they’re there.
