Love the comic, but this one isn’t funny. A turtle or tortoise on their back is a death sentence. It suffocates them since their lungs are at the top of their shell. We have a desert tortoise and when they flip, they can die in hours if not flipped back. That’s one way they fight each other, but flipping to kill the other. This day’s strip needs pulled. Not funny. Hope nobody or any kids try it to be funny.
So for everyone saying “this isn’t funny” and “this should be pulled”, the strips about someone falling off a cliff and people picking poppies for opium are funny, but no one should find this one funny because you have a personal reference to it? Yes, the universe is all about you.
Of course there’s also the point that real tortoise parenting involvement is limited to fertilize, lay the egg, and cover with sand. The rest is up to the young’un.

And when you learn not to trust strangers, I’ll be back to take you down off the fence post. Trust me.

Aside from this being a poor lesson, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a turtle misbehave.
