Ah, one of the many pictures of a cat taken in mid-sneeze. They are usually quite comical, although I am sure Elvis will be quite offended for his dignity.
Will Puck finally prove the existence of mail carriers? Will Elvis actually sneeze on camera? What will Buzzy Mouse contribute? Most importantly, will the snacks and coffee last? Tune in tomorrow for these and other answers. Same cat time, same cat channel.
My Dean always keeps a beady on the mail person (sometimes it’s a man, sometimes it’s a woman) when they put the junk mail and occasional letter/magazine in the box – unless he’s fast asleep :)
Nice Polaroid camera there Puck, my brother used to have one of those – I had a Kodak brownie. Somehow I think Elvis may dispute even photographic evidence of a mailman he’s so adamant they don’t exist
Last time I saw a mailman delivering at my place was Christmas Eve. Which if you’ll remember was on a Sunday. I commented on the strangeness of this and he said that’s when they deliver parcels.
Mail delivery persons are non existent to all our furry sentries; USPS won’t deliver on private roads so we drive half a mile to the nearest county road for mail. FedEx and UPS, on the other hand, do deliver to our door and set off the barking, meowing and hiding.
We are very rural and are on a first name basis with our mail lady Joanne, fedex guy John and UPS guy Randy. We are fortunate that if it is too big to fit in the mailbox up the road, she brings things to the house. We never have to go to the post office to sign for a package and We always have a lovely chat. Our small town is truly a step back in time to the good old days. We buy our milk in glass bottles too but alas, no door to door milk delivery these days! :)Oh yes, and we are always alerted by the Bogiemonster! :))
Wonder how many post offices will have this strip proudly taped up in the break room in the next few days?. I recall that many years ago I was on a task force for what was called, no kidding, “Special Tax”. A certain Viking themed comic strip did a series on tax collection, and at one point referred to the “Kings Special Tax”. That went up all over our various little cubicles.
The radiologist’s report is in for the ultrasounds on Nicky & Holly. The news is good & bad. The good news is there are no masses, no tumors & no cancer in either one of them. The bad news is that Holly has Chronic Kidney disease. Nicky has an inflamed liver. Unfortunately they don’t know what is causing it. It could be something in the liver or the intestines. They don’t know which one is the cause and which one is the effect. So more tests for poor Nick.
@MDMOM After seeing your posting yesterday, I sent an email along with the addresses of this site and Georgia’s website to the Washington Post asking them to review & consider for their comics sections. Crossing fingers.
I got a call from the doctor yesterday that they needed to put the breathing tubes back in. Two steps forward, one step back. Marc is back under partial sedation and has to have rest. Keep the prayers, positive thoughts, and orb bumps. He’s not doing well.
Hmm, I understand it might be difficult to confirm or disprove the elusive letter carriers, but surely stamps can be demonstrated? Puck, you’re missing an opportunity here . . .
Barney’s apparent improvement continues. He ate rather heartily at “elevenses” today. Slept through “twoses,” but considering how well he ate earlier (even ate some of Bean’s food), I’ll take that as maybe not a bad sign.
And he performed his “furry alarm clock” duty today.
It’s forecast to get above freezing here on Thursday or Friday. If that actually happens, I’m hoping to get him in to be seen by his vet then (haven’t taken him in earlier because I was fairly sure being just exposed to the cold outside would send him over the edge).
Sis REALLY appreciates the kind thoughts & prayers for little Allie! She will be here to read them Thursday. I cannot thank you all enough for your kindness & support! ((((((LOVE)))))) >^.,.^<

Given the number of times my mail hasn’t been collected or delivered recently, I think Elvis is right.

They may be an endangered species nowadays, but they do exist, Elvis.

I hope Pucky didn’t choose a National Holiday to try and prove the existence of the legendary Mail-Man!
But it’s good to have a dream…

Yay! We’ve returned to the mystery of the elusive mailman! I love that rainbow spilling down from Puck’s camera lense.

Since it IS MLK day, I am imagining Elvis’s glee when there is no mail delivery.

Puck is going to be out of luck today. Since it’s MLK Day the post office is closed, so ergo no letter carriers today.
