Some people have to talk their thoughts out in order to finish the thought process. I used to know a guy like that, he’d call me up with this “wonderful idea” (for other people to carry out) and about halfway through the conversation he’d do a total 180 on whatever it was. I soon learned to just let him talk because whatever the “great idea” was at the start of the conversation would be irrecognisable by the end.
What I like about seeing this old strip is the old fashioned black telephones, perched upon their own specific tables like this… very mid-century. I noticed Schulz carried that look over into the 70s.

Sometimes I wonder why Miss Reihardt always phones Mr. Brown for advice without allowing him a chance to speak.

I hope no one who doesn’t know what Patty’s project is resists the urge to look ahead. It’s a hoot.

So why did you call, Peppermint Patty? Do you LOVE Chuck? (We don’t use the U-C-K word for me anymore!)

If I had to do a science project again I would do one on string theory. You can get string almost anywhere
