Nice alliteration there, “zounds! the zealous zarches” That’s part of what I love about C&H, finding something new whenever I read them. big smile

I miss the Snow Goons too, but I love Spaceman Spiff.

The Snow Goons…does this have anything to do with the fact Green Bay and Chicago are playing today?

This was such a fun surprise! Usually Spiff is avoiding the Teacher!!

“Dazed but undaunted” also sounds like a description of how Calvin’s parents spend their lives dealing with him. “Yes, it’s just another typical day” for them, as Calvin once again “careens out of control.” Not sure his stabilizers ever have been fully functional, but that’s what we love about him.

Hopefully Calvin’s parents won’t fall over his spaceship up ahead, since they are unable to see it.

Wasn’t this one of year 3’s original Star Trek episodes?

However in Calvin’s world he will wait until the ‘rents pass and then dash home and lock the doors, thus ensuring a brief victory to be followed by the inevitable painful defeat!

@ Hobbes, What a shame Calvin doesn’t take you on any of these awesome adventures of altercation with aliens. How’s that for alliteration?

A game of I Spy in the works.

I watched an episode of Mantracker where the “prey” put on shoes that had horseshoes glued to the soles. Mantracker saw right through the ruse because their strides looked completely wrong.

It’s one of my shows I try to watch regularly.

How long before mom and dad see the footprints have ended? Then backtrack and find where Calvin’s footprints actually lead.

Ha–between “Zounds”, “Zorched by Zarches”, and the sneaky gag from Calvin, I’m rolling on the floor laughing here.

I hope Mom never gets to see what she looks like in his mind’s eye!

No one commented on “crippled craft crashes.” Took me a second read to catch that one. @HOBBES; Nope, not me. I’m old lady from Oklahoma. No picture? Many commenters have given me instructions which I have followed, and when I press Upload, my computer freezes and I have to force quit. Next time savvy son comes home I’ll see what he can do.

It’s a good thing the alien’s own feet weren’t naturally facing backwards, or they might have gone right to “Spiffs” hiding place.

The Zarches need to tempt Spaceman Spiff with promises of hot chocolate and comic books to read with his buddy Hobbes.

“Zorched by Zarches,” I know that feeling…

I couldn’t hide like that from my parents. We lived in the projects, on the 10th floor, so they had a perfect aerial view of my hideouts.

Calvin’s parent’s last name is Zarch. Oik. Woof. Calvin Zarch. No wonder he spends so much time with Hobbes…
