is Radfish using the “new math”?
quote, “the Dems still have a majority in congress”….?
House…..Democrats lost 61 seats,
Republicans gained 61 seats.
total as of noon 11-03-10,
House of Representatives GOP 240—-Dems 183…;
which in the “old math” gives the GOP the majority and the Speaker’s position….
(GOP will elect a Speaker, and maybe Pelosi will have to move from the Speaker’s suite to a Broom Closet????)
C’mon, people, get with the new reality: The Republicans have set a new precedence: The minority (aka Republicans) can now filibuster ANY legislation passed by the MAJORITY party (that is, the party representing the MAJORITY of the people).
And the Democrats in the Senate don’t even have to resort to that Republican staple because the Republicans FAILED to win the Senate.
Having set this precedence, I do hope the Republicans expect nothing less than the very same against their attempts to undo the pro-American legislation they hate.

The voters for House have indeed forgotten the definition of insanity.

That “R” is for “Race,” as in, race forward.

Another power the Republicans have gained: The House’s subpoena power.
That was the power that, in 1994, Newt Gingrich promised they wouldn’t abuse.
And then went on to abuse it against Clinton and Lewinsky, to the amusement of the rest of the world.
