I was once standing on friend’s deck picking & eating some very nice cherries off the tree right beside it.

I asked “What are those little dots on the deck?”

“We’re right under an approach lane for O’Hare; when they come in they dump their excess fuel so it doesn’t burn as much if they crash.”

I ate no more of his cherries……….

So… to fight global warming, we need more air pollution?

Dani Rice: Myself, I am doubtful about anything that purports to be organic. The last time I checked, the labeling laws are too lax for my taste. It’s a little like eggs from “cage-free” chickens. As long as the chickens are out of their cages for an hour a day, the eggs can be labeled as “cage free.”

i’ll never forget how clear the skies were that week. As an amateur stargazer i notice these things. i’ve observed how contrails will coalesce to become 10/10 cloud cover under certain conditions.

My wife was raised in Louisiana and Florida. She has a picture of her car in The Great Tampa Blizzard of ‘76 (or 77?), if you look really close you can see some snow on the hood. Anyway, We get quite a bit more snow here in the Ozarks (though not nearly as much as many of you), and now that I have introduced her to snow cream 30 + years ago, she doesn’t think winter is complete unless we fix some. Come to think of it, after 56 years of eating it, (and never getting sick afterwards raw egg and all), I feel the same. :)

A bowl of “snow ice cream”? It’s like every 4th panel is a non-sequitur lately.
