Only as a shipping point. Amazon allowed them to exist as a country otherwise. You never know, AliBaba may have something to say about that next quarter.

They have the new stores where they charge you for what you buy. You check in with your phone. This idea thrills me as much as letting them in your HOUSE! People will get for charged for stuff they don’t buy and never check.

Bigbucks is trying cash free stores; card or phone only. Even if it is faster than cash there is no way someone can look at their monthly statement and remember that they charged a $1.98 bottle of pop one day a month ago.

I work in a grocery store and people buy sodas or candy (under $1) with credit card or phone all the time.

I remember a friend’s party whose son was working for Amazon just as it got off the ground. He told me, “I’m working for this company that sells books through the mail.” I recall thinking, “That ain’t going to work.”

I have seen someone write a check to pay for a pack of gum. This when gum was about 15 cents.
