Can Superman even get his powers from an LED sun?

Yep. That’ll take care of global warming and that annoying and pointless aurora display.
I’d love it if some astrophysicists weighed in on this, but aren’t the fusion reactions taking place within the Sun incredibly efficient? I mean, for starters, the Sun is self-sustaining, and you can’t say that about an LED lighting fixture.
