If the men cut off their hair buns, would Rat let them into this harmony he’s proposing? What about men with ponytails (like Phoebe’s father in “Phoebe and hHer Unicorn” for example)?

It bothers me that I agree with Rat.

Whoa, there, Pig! Man buns are a choice. Neck beards are a genetic trait.

And people who wear Crocs!

You have to draw a line somewhere.

Man-buns…I irrationally hate those things.

Come on folks. It’s getting harder to be weird. In my youth, 40+ years ago, my tattoos, long hair, beard and ear ring were cutting edge for weird. Now, everybody wears them. The fact that man buns gets a reaction means they do what they’re intended.

And it was going so well until we came to panel 8.

Hey, guys sometimes have long hair. And long hair gets in the way a ridiculous amount of the time, hence why women wear ponytails and buns. So, if a guy has long hair and needs it out of his face, a man bun is acceptable in my book.

And anyone with ear gauges!

I think man buns are kind of sexy…

I can’t stand mohawks! I call them “monstrosities” instead.

“All Creeds…”? The problem there is that there are some creeds that like to do nasty things to people not of their creed baked right into their creed. They are kind of difficult to deal with.

Let’s face it: The Baby Boom generation has some nerve making fun of young peoples’ hairstyles. I used to wear a mullet.

My brother is always making fun of “man buns,” and he used to be a white guy with an afro.

Be careful with this shaving craze-it could lead to areas that should be…untouc…no, unshaveable. A valid scientific observation.

The higher the man bun, the closer to god.

This is at least the third time in the strip that I’ve seen Rat attacking guys with man buns.
