For me, tortilla chips are that kind of temptation.

The boxes are smaller. I think many are just 12 small cookies.

Me: Do I look like I need cookies?

2 Girl Scouts without skipping a beat: (in unison) YES!

Me: sigh 4 boxes of Trefoils

Chocolate and vanilla are the only two choices there are in Canada. Much easier to choose but boring.

The thing that bums me out is we don’t live in the part of the country where you can get Savannah Smiles. Ever since Keebler bought out Sunshine and killed off Lemon Coolers, those have been the closest approximation.

Back in the mid-1980s, I entered a fairly self-described bicycle race called the National 24-Hour Challenge and had a good enough day to have to consider my best chance of competitive cycling success, or any sports success, might just be in one of the more long-term-suffering-centric events out there, and once again I wondered if the gods were feline and I was stuffed with catnip.

Lon Haldeman had no such issues. Not only was ultramarathon cycling his best sport, he was the best at it by far. And he wasn’t stuffed with catnip. He was stuffed with two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions on a sesame seed bun. He was a big guy, and he made a bike go fast for a long time, and that burns a lot of calories, and few outfits could pack food full of fuel like McDonald’s. Haldeman was actually sponsored by McDonald’s.

I feel his pain. Just bought a box. How could I not? Great product. Nice price and the GS are one of the greatest organizations in the US. Great members, great leaders.
