The stitches on Calvin’s face in the second panel creeped me out when I was a kid.

This year was the 200th anniversary of "Frankenstein"’s first publishing.

How long before Calvin discovers coffee?

Yeah, pretty much how I feel in the morning too.

During the time when my dad had odd hours, he’d get up in the late morning and I’d sometimes tease him as I saw his heavy-lidded, disheveled walk towards the kitchen. “It’s alive!” was one, and “He breaches!” was another.

So much for Calvin’s parents saying they got him at the flea market.

When they stitched the ‘monster Calvin’ together – I wonder where they found that hair?
