It’s like when Susie Derkins said the dinosaur footprints Calvin said he found have size 5 treaded toes.

Unfortunately for Elizabeth, she didn’t count on the expert tracking skills of Elly Patterson, wilderness explorer. If Elizabeth had gone with the story about how she had been attacked by two girls from her school, Elly’s detection method would fall completely apart. The girls really would have small feet like Lizzie’s.

CSI Neighborhood – Tonight’s episode, “The Big Fat Liar with the Tiny Feet.”

There was a similar Sunday strip where Michael was sent to buy milk. He also blows it when goofing around. The final scene shows Elly glowering as she has to fork over more money to buy milk (as well as wasting her time). Maybe that strip was different as unlike this one, Michael was caught red-handed.

Not much gets past Miss Marple.

I’m sure that Elly realizes that the most important issue is Elizabeth’s lying not the lost milk. It’s time to nip that in the bud! I learned that way back when I lied to my Mother and I never forgot the retribution that I received.

One detail: Shouldn’t there be a broken carton at the scene and evidence of spilled milk?

Elizabeth needs supervision when going out like that! If mom Elly was too busy then I would be very happy to escort Lizzie to the store when she buys the milk and firmly tell her “No” when she swings that bag and escort Elizabeth back to her home with Mom Elly.

You have to admit Elizabeth is learning to prevaricate pretty well. We’ll see how far she gets with this.
