I know this is a comic strip. I know it’s meant for humor. I know it’s not meant to be taken seriously or literally. Etc. Etc. But even so it pains me to see “loose” housecats depicted this way. Estimates are that they kill at least millions and very possibly billions of songbirds each year. And not because they need to do so for food, but (essentially) just for “fun”. Cats are great pets if people keep them indoors, or on leashes— or, if outdoors and not on a leash, at least belled.
