“Freedom of Speech” ONLY applies to the government’s restraining it. A private company, like the XFL, does not have to have a freedom of speech.

The only thing that I dislike about the “take-a-knee” display is that they are doing it on company time. If they are all that sincere about their motivations, they should purchase ad time on the various media or have a legal congregation on a public square to state their views. I would respect that.

Keep the teams in the locker room until the anthem has been played. Then release the hired muscle. (Now ducking)

Why do we even have these forced displays of patriotism before sporting events? Does each movie or theatre performance start with the anthem? It is only recently that the anthem performance was even shown on TV before the game.

Disclosure: When I attend a sporting event, I stand for the anthem, hold my hat over my heart and sing along.

You’ve gotta admire anyone who makes a lot of money wrapping themselves in the flag.

#Patrioticbonespurs — especially the kind that enable you to ski and play basketball while still qualifying for a deferment.

Well said Tank!! No one is forcing anyone to play NFL football. And with the money they make they could chip and an buy a good commerial spot and have their say about perceived police brutality.
