Like I said in “Thatababy” a few days ago, a fallen hero not to be forgotten in years to come.

I hope Beetle Bailey and Hi and Lois will both be discontinued. I don’t know of any strip that has successfully been continued by new talent. Hagar the Horrible is horrible, and Blondie is as dull as dishwater. It’s better to make room for fresh new talent with original strips than to zombify old strips after the death of their creators.

Thanks. He did so much more than Beetle Bailey, and was such a booster of comics, too.

Why is Lio using a Megaphone to play Taps, fallen hero tune? It’s supposed to be the Bugle.

Yesterday morning I posted a “tongue-in-cheek” comment on this forum regarding an event that occurred 89 years ago in Chicago. In view of the event occurring yesterday afternoon, I have deleted that comment. My thoughts and best wishes go out to the families in Parkland and Coral Spring (my former home town) served by Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School.
