waschearer - a big fat slobbery lick would have been total justice for that moment! You know he wants to! I’m surprised Garfield is so close to the airborne slobber.
At first I thought Garf was being snide, but now not so sure since Odie has surprised him once or twice.
Odie seems the perennial youngster who’ll chase, lick, or chew anything for fun. ADHD can be a bit unpredictable. Garf seems the older, premeditated sort - sociopathic, with sporadic bursts of conscience, which can also be unpredictable.
So I’m on the fence about who is easier to read - dogs or cats. Those you develop a long-term, one-on-one relationship with, tend to be those you read best. I think everyone is equally complicated - they just don’t know it.
When did Odie start being able to stand on his hind legs? I know Garfield has been walking around like a human for decades, but he can also talk, while I thought Odie still acted like a dog.
