In the 1980’s, Buddy Hackett did a joke about a man who suffered from it, went to a drug store, and was told there was no male pharmacist to discuss his problem with; it was co-owned by two sisters. He finally shows them his “problem,” explains it stays that way, and asks if they can give him something for it. She discusses it with her sister, comes back and says the best they can do is $500 and a half-interest in the drug store.

I remember a similar joke, forget the comedian, but doubt if it would have been allowed on TV in the ’80s.
