It may be sexist, but I’d have a strong urge to SMACK somebody it they did that to me. And since a certain female somebody is known to “smack” people when her “dander” is up, it seems like a reasonable payback to me.
I always wonder why these characters are from different families, but yet, they seem to always be in each others’ houses. CB is watching TV. He and Lucy aren’t “friends”. Why is Lucy there?
As a kid I was the constant target of cruel April Fools jokes. I remember asking my mother if I could stay home on April 1…never got to. To this day I hate it; the only thing I like about it this year is that April 1 is Easter, which is my favorite Holiday (made a little harder to enjoy since my mother’s passing earlier this month; she loved Easter, too).
It’s interesting how we now say “April Fools” just as a reminder/shorter version of “April Fools Day” where as she is definitely calling him a fool. However, maybe I’m just slow on picking up the name calling nature of the day..
