I always thought Peppermint Patty (and Marcie!) were way over-used later on, and I’ll grant you that Andy and Olaf were no prizes, but c’mon, Spike was an excellent character! He could’ve been the best character in plenty of strips, but since Snoopy is the best comic strip character of all time, it was an uphill battle.
