Adam: Come on, Adam. You can do this nothing to fear. It never hurts to try something new. Even if it does have turnip greens and tofu. You want to be a good example for the kids. Clayton: Dad, your plate's over there. Adam: Why don't you taste it first, and let me know what you think?

Turkey is on the horizon my friend. Be strong. Hot sauce will help.

I can tell you what he did to deserve this: he turned himself into a tub of goo with the cholesterol of a can of Crisco.
I don’t have enough fingers or toes to count the kinds of tofu I’ve had experice with, but I can count on one hand the kinds I liked - some of it is unholy nasty. Turnip greens, though, can be pretty good.

Gotta love the evocativeness of the “SPLORP!” sound the spooned “food” made.

We were going to try tofu in our house once. Even my other half couldn’t bring herself to fix it. It sat like a caged beast in, snarling at us from the depths of the refrigerator until we finally had to get rid of it. Far easier has it been to give up frenchfries and mashed potatoes and gravy than eat that ugly stuff.

Tofu can be OK in the right dish. It’s a staple in sukiyaki and miso soup and not bad. However, for the holidays, give me meat!
