Since you cook everything, and seem to be a MASTER CHEF, I have to cook a vegan Field Roast Hazelnut Cranberry Roast at 425 degrees for 45 mins. and a 7# turkey breast at 325 for 2 1/2 hours. I emailed the company about the vegan roast just now. Do you think if I cooked the vegan roast Wed. night, and re-heated it on Thurs. that would be okay? Or don’t you have a clue? :-D
Dry, I had never heard of your field roast so I googled it and it sounds wonderful, but if you are using puff pastry like the recipe I saw recommends, I would not cook it the night before. If it was a pie crust I think it would be okay, but puff pastry is very delicate and could get soggy. I would be more likely to cook the turkey the night before and under cook it a bit and reheat it the next day.
I am enthralled with the vegetarian dish and think I will try to make it if I can locate the recipe. (unless it’s as big a pain as beef wellington0.

You don’t have to make the recipe, you can buy one. He bought it at Wegman’s Grocery Store, which I doubt you have out there, they are big here on the East Coast though. But I’ll bet one of your other stores would have it. Field Roast is the brand name, which I guess you figured out! :-)
Yeah, it’s puff pastry. Last year he bought a simple one, and I could do them all together! His turning vegan works out okay most of the time, most people don’t understand what eating vegan is, but sometimes it gets difficult!
What about using a BBQ to cook the turkey breast with indirect heat? It is too bad that it is the breast instead of dark meat because the breast dries out so easily. I would be reluctant to cook the turkey at 425 as it would probably overcook the meat on the outside. My suggestion would be to either do the BBQ method, or cook the turkey the day before and serve it at room temp, but I myself would BBQ the turkey. Even if you cooked it the day before but undercooked it you could finish it off on the BBQ.
Another thought is to cook the turkey before the Field roast and wrap it in tinfoil then kick up the oven to 425 and cook the vegetarian dish. The turkey may be cool, but it won’t be cold. Use gravy to warm it up if someone has a problem. If you cook the turkey and wrap it in tinfoil under cook it slightly as it will continue to cook while warm and wrapped.

I can’t even taste it, with the hazelnuts in it! Hope cooking them in the same oven doesn’t cause a problem. I’m sure he never thought of that!
