So is the lack of altitude for those who are afraid of heights.

Very little chance of drifting over open water that way. Safety first!

A Safety Warning from your friendly neighborhood busybody *

I have been assured by a local expert that Alvin’s balloon get$ its hot air from the dryer vent….

in itself, a bit of a safety issue, but should be all right as long as the lint trap is cleaned often.

However, any other indoor ballooning enthusiasts…. please take heed!

Do NOT use any internal or external combustion devices, such as a coal or propane burner,

whether attached to your balloon, or free standing,

inside enclosed spaces such as garages, laundry rooms or hall closets.

    Carbon monoxide is dangerous!

If you have no clothes dryer or other appropriate source of safe, clean, hot air exhaust,

I suggest collecting some at any meeting of the Ballard County supervisors …

or the municipal, state, provincial, or other government body of your choice, in your location.

PS… that would be * ME.

Of course, with an open sided basket like that, any higher would be …. well , because the Ballard Basket and Bat House Emporium sold Edmond that one for half price for half a basket, they would be responsible for any misfortune that might ensue.

Therefore our intrepid aviator is not allowed outside.

I was wondering how those curved ropes could hold him up (unless they’re very heavily starched) until I saw the two straight lines hanging down from the basket. Then I understood. Those are actually titanium poles holding up the basket and are intended to trick us.

    We’ve been duped!

From his surroundings, I’d say he might get washed away with the Tide !

I guess no one’s called Edmund a basket case yet because it doesn’t need to be said.
